The Sacramento area has two needlepoint shops we can confirm, about thirty miles apart. The Needlepointer's showroom is about five miles north of the Capitol, and Auburn Needleworks is about thirty-three miles northeast, in Auburn.
They keep different days. The Needlepointer opens only on weekdays, and Auburn Needleworks from Tuesday to Saturday, so a weekend visit means Auburn.

A combined shop rather than a needlepoint-only one. It also opens by appointment, so call if the hours do not suit.
