It holds classes in the shop, among them a two-hour beginner class for brand-new stitchers on one Saturday a month, listed with the Miami classes on Stitch Katonah's site.

The hours are the thing to plan around
Stitch Miami opens from Monday to Saturday: from 11am to 3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday, and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sundays. On most days it closes at 3pm, so Wednesday is the day for a later visit; outside its hours, it opens by appointment.

Is Stitch Miami the same business as Stitch Katonah?
The two shops have the same owners, Margaret and her niece Kristina, who bought Stitch Miami and opened Stitch Katonah, on our Westchester County page. Stitch Katonah's website covers both shops.
Is there a needlepoint shop in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, or Kendall?
Not one we have been able to confirm. Stitch Miami is about two and a half miles southwest of the middle of Pinecrest, about two and a half miles southeast of the middle of Kendall, and about five and a half miles southwest of the middle of Coral Gables.
What about Miami Beach, Homestead, or the Keys?
We have not confirmed a shop in any of them. Stitch Miami is about sixteen miles southwest of the middle of Miami Beach, about fourteen miles northeast of the middle of Homestead, and about thirty-six miles north of the middle of Key Largo.
Is there one near Fort Lauderdale?
Marion's Nimble Needle in Boca Raton, on our Palm Beach County page, is about fourteen miles north of the middle of Fort Lauderdale. Stitch Miami is about thirty-six miles south.
Can I learn here as a beginner?
Yes. Stitch Miami holds a beginner class for brand-new stitchers from 11am to 1pm, with a key fob canvas, threads in the colors you choose, a needle, a needle threader, a seam ripper, and a written guide included. When we checked in September 2026, its listing, with the Miami classes on Stitch Katonah's site, gave one Saturday a month through December 12, 2026.
What is the nearest other shop?
