Lexington has three needlepoint shops we can confirm, all within four miles of each other. M's Canvashouse is on Red Mile Road, about a mile northwest of downtown, and The Eye of the Needle and Stitch Therapy Needleworks are south of downtown, about a mile and a half apart.
That makes all three one easy day. What you are after decides the order more than the distance does.

A knitting shop for decades before Cheryl bought it in 1989 and made it a needlepoint shop. It is known for belts: it calls her the Hobby Belt Queen and stocks over two thousand belt designs, along with ornaments, stockings, dog collars, key fobs, and more.
To check whether something is in stock, the shop asks you to call, or to text 859-229-5386. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.

A needlework retailer since 2001, now with a shop in Lexington, carrying hand-painted and printed needlepoint canvases and kits alongside cross stitch, with the fibers, fabrics, and accessories for both.
A combined needlework shop rather than a needlepoint-only one. Its homepage says Dennis Street; the Dennis Drive address on its contact page is the one to use.
Which one to go to
On a Monday, go to M's Canvashouse, the one of the three open that day.
For a needlepoint belt, start at The Eye of the Needle. It is also the one open latest, until 5:30pm from Tuesday to Friday.

Before you go
- Saturdays end early at M's, which closes at 2pm.
- Nothing opens on a Sunday.
