Needlepoint Shops in Louisville
Two shops about five miles apart on the east side, one in St. Matthews and one farther out on Shelbyville Road.
Louisville has two needlepoint shops we can confirm, both on the east side, about five miles apart. STITCH is in St. Matthews, about five miles east of downtown, and Stitchen Time is farther out on Shelbyville Road, about ten and a half miles east.
Both keep Tuesday to Saturday hours, so any of those days covers both, as long as you go to STITCH first.

A full-service shop opened by Lane Penner in 2013, with hand-painted canvases, a large range of threads, notions, and finishing, and classes and clubs, including a Basics of Needlepoint class.
Look for the cream house with black awnings on the corner of Gilman Avenue and Chenoweth Lane. It closes at 2pm, so it is a morning or lunchtime stop.

An established needlepoint shop that its owners bought in 2018, renamed, and moved to a larger space, with canvases from a long list of designers, threads, and supplies, and staff with many years in needlepoint.
Closed on Sundays and Mondays. It publishes no ZIP code, so we have not printed one rather than guess.
Which one to go to
In the morning, either. After 2pm, go to Stitchen Time, open until 4pm, because STITCH has closed by then.
If you are just starting, STITCH runs a Basics of Needlepoint class, with more classes and clubs beyond it.
If you have a piece to be finished, go to STITCH, which offers finishing.

- Neither opens on a Sunday or a Monday. Plan a weekend visit for Saturday.
