Karen opened it in the fall of 1999, and it carries canvases, threads, and accessories, sells stitched and partly stitched canvases on consignment, and takes finishing for everything from ornaments to upholstery.

Classes were thin when we checked in September 2026: its site said supply issues were keeping most of them off the schedule, so call if you want lessons.

Park Avenue Needlepoint opens from Tuesday to Saturday: from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

• Ignore the old Park Avenue address. Some retailer lists still place the shop at 41 Park Avenue in Dayton. It is on Marshall Road in Kettering now.
