Needlepoint Shops in Tampa Bay
Two shops about nineteen miles apart, one on Henderson Boulevard in Tampa and one across the bay in Belleair Bluffs.
Tampa Bay has two needlepoint shops we can confirm, on opposite sides of the water, about nineteen miles apart. Knot the Point Needleworks is on Henderson Boulevard, about three and a half miles southwest of downtown Tampa, and The Flying Needles is in Belleair Bluffs, on the Pinellas side.
Their weeks overlap from Wednesday to Saturday. Knot the Point is the one open on a Tuesday or a Sunday.

A full-service needlepoint boutique with hand-painted canvases, a wide range of fibers, stitching accessories, and finishing, plus classes, events, and trunk shows.
Open six days a week, including Sunday afternoons, and closed on Mondays. Open stitch runs every Thursday, from noon to 3pm and from 4pm to 7pm, for every level.

Owned by Merideth, a stitcher of more than fifteen years for whom a needlepoint shop was a long-held daydream, with canvases, designer threads, and self-finishing pieces.
Open Wednesday to Saturday. The shop publishes no phone number and says email is the best way to reach it, at flyingneedlesbelleair@gmail.com.
Which one to go to
On a Tuesday, or on a Sunday afternoon, go to Knot the Point.
For an evening, go to Knot the Point on a Thursday, when it stays open until 7pm and runs open stitch from 4pm.
If you are on the Pinellas side, The Flying Needles is the nearer, open Wednesday to Saturday.

FAQ
Is there a needlepoint shop in Clearwater or St. Petersburg?
Not one we have been able to confirm. The Flying Needles is about three miles south of downtown Clearwater. From downtown St. Petersburg the two shops are about fourteen and fifteen miles away, and a St. Petersburg shop that older listings name no longer has a working website, so it is not listed here.
Can I get a finished piece made up?
Knot the Point offers finishing. The Flying Needles sells self-finishing pieces, so ask there about finishing a canvas for you.
