In its own words a full-service needlepoint store, on Vaughn Road about seven and a half miles southeast of downtown Montgomery, owned by Leigh Walker Miller. By its own count it carries more than two thousand five hundred canvases and more than a hundred and thirty lines of thread. It has custom canvases designed and names or initials added, stitches canvases for customers, finishes pieces from ornaments and stockings to purses and belts, and hosts classes with national and local teachers.
Closed on Sundays. Its contact page says it is closed on Saturdays too, except for some Saturdays when it holds classes and opens from 10am to 4pm, so call before a Saturday visit. An open stitch runs on Wednesdays from 10am. Most finishing takes at least six weeks, and pieces for Christmas are due by July 1.

A needlepoint shop on North Dean Road, about one and a half miles east of the middle of Auburn, founded in 2026 by Katie Cagle. It carries canvases, threads, and accessories, holds classes, Needlepoint 101 among them, and finishes ornaments, door hangers, coasters, pillows, and stand-ups locally, so pieces are not shipped away.
Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Wednesday runs until 6pm. The shop publishes no phone number for customers; its site has a contact form. Finishing is taken only in person at the shop, not by mail, and it does no leather finishing. Some listings give 165 First Street; its own site gives North Dean Road.

Not one we have been able to confirm. The Needle Bug is about seventeen miles southeast of the middle of Prattville, about fifteen miles southeast of the middle of Millbrook, and about fourteen miles south of the middle of Wetumpka.

Not one we have been able to confirm. Paper Dolls in Auburn is the nearest we list, about six miles southwest of the middle of Opelika.

Not one we have been able to confirm. Paper Dolls is about twenty-eight miles northwest of the middle of Phenix City and about thirty-five miles west of the middle of Columbus, Georgia.

Yes. Paper Dolls held a Needlepoint 101 class in September 2026, with the canvas and threads included, and lists its classes on its site. The Needle Bug has local teachers who, in its words, will teach you from start to finish.
