The hours are the thing to plan around

The Little Needlepoint Shop opens Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, Saturday from 10am to 2pm, and Sunday from 11am to 2pm, and it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. No day runs past 4pm, so the weekend is the easier time for anyone who works weekdays.

Before you go

• Call ahead. The shop's number is (337) 362-3397, from its Facebook page; its site gives none.
• Go early on a Saturday or Sunday. It closes at 2pm on both days.
• Bring the canvas if you have one. Thread and mesh have to be matched to the specific canvas, and nobody can do that from a photograph. See our thread guide for what that pairing involves.
