Denver's two needlepoint shops are about four miles apart. Sunny Stitches is in the Wash Park neighborhood, and Diversions Needlepoint is just south of Denver on Hampden Avenue in Englewood.
They are different kinds of shop. Sunny Stitches opened in 2025 and leans on classes, events, and stitch nights. Diversions is the longer-established one, with a large stock on the shelves, and it takes finishing.

Opened in 2025 in the Wash Park neighborhood, with canvases, fibers, and accessories, including a run of Denver and Colorado designs. Classes go from beginner up, alongside events, trunk shows, and stitch nights.
Open until 8pm on Thursdays and on Sunday afternoons, so it is the one to try outside working hours. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

A large in-store stock of canvases, threads, and accessories, with experienced stitchers on staff, classes, and finishing. Its 2026 cutoff for holiday finishing was June 2, so ask early about Christmas pieces.
Look for the big blue sign where Hampden Avenue meets South Delaware Street; there is a parking lot. The shop gives no ZIP code with its street address, so we have not printed one rather than guess.
Which one to go to
It mostly comes down to the day. Diversions Needlepoint is the only one open on a Tuesday. Sunny Stitches is the only one open on a Sunday, and the one for an evening, until 8pm on Thursdays. From Wednesday to Saturday both are open, and neither opens on a Monday.
If you want a piece finished, take it to Diversions, which does finishing. If you are just starting, Sunny Stitches runs classes from beginner up.
