Needlepoint Shops in Nashville
Two shops with almost opposite hours, one keeping shop time and one keeping evening and Sunday time.
Nashville has two needlepoint shops, and the useful thing about them is that they barely overlap. One keeps traditional shop hours six days a week. The other opens two evenings until 8pm and on Sunday afternoons.
Between them they cover almost anyone. If you can get out on a weekday morning, take your pick. If you cannot, there is exactly one answer, and it is a good one.

Hand-painted canvases, a deep thread wall, and custom framing done in house, which is rarer than finishing sent out. It sits in the middle of Brentwood, about twenty minutes south of downtown Nashville.
Six days a week is generous for this trade, and it is the only one of the two open on a Monday.
Also worth knowing
Kick Ass Needlepoint is a third Nashville shop, out on Hillwood Boulevard, and its own site invites you to visit in store. We have not listed it above because that site publishes a phone number and nothing else, with no address and no hours to check against.
The number is 629-333-9933 if you want to call and ask. If you know the shop, tell us and we will add it properly.
Before you go
- The Stitching Belle is the one for working hours. Tuesday until 8pm, Friday until 8pm, and Sunday afternoon. Two late evenings in one week is rare in this trade.
- Nashville Needleworks does its framing in house. Most shops send finishing out, so if you want to talk to the person who will actually do the work, that is the conversation to have.
- Neither is downtown. One is west of the city and one is twenty minutes south in Brentwood, so plan the drive rather than assuming you can walk between them.
- Bring the canvas if you have one. Thread and mesh have to be matched to the specific canvas, and nobody can do that from a photograph. See our thread guide for what that pairing involves.
FAQ
Is there a needlepoint shop in downtown Nashville?
No. The Stitching Belle is the closest, on Nebraska Avenue west of downtown, and Nashville Needleworks is south in Brentwood. Both need a car or a short ride.
Which one is open latest?
The Stitching Belle, until 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. It is also open on Sunday afternoons, which makes it the only shop in Nashville you can visit at the weekend without giving up a Saturday morning.
Is there a shop in Franklin or Murfreesboro?
Not one we have been able to confirm. Nashville Needleworks in Brentwood is the closest to Franklin, roughly fifteen minutes further south.
Does either shop do finishing?
Nashville Needleworks does custom framing on site. For pillows, stockings, and anything sewn, ask both shops who they send work to, and read our finishing guide first so you know what to ask.
New to needlepoint?
If you are heading to one of these shops for the first time, it helps to know roughly what you are looking at before you walk in.

- Mesh count explained, for the number on every canvas label.
- Thread types, for the wool, cotton, and silk question.
